The story of Resident Evil Village is not over yet, either. The entire experience and where it leaves the series at its end makes it one of the best survival horror games in recent memory. It was more than just Lady Dimitrescu, too. Updated On January 26, 2022, by Jason Wojnar: Resident Evil Village ended up being one of the more memorable experiences of 2021. Resident Evil Village can be challenging on a first playthrough, so it helps to know which guns to hold onto and for how long. That said, it’s not wise to give up weapons right away. The Duke’s Emporium is a very player-friendly shop and any weapons players upgrade will have their selling value raised.īy fully upgrading a weapon and then selling to the Duke, players can put the money towards a brand-new gun with immediate upgrades. Smart players can periodically upgrade their weapons and trade them in for a newer model when appropriate. This isn’t the case with Resident Evil Village, where newer weapons are often clearly better than their predecessors. Since we’re only using this to hurt bosses, I only invested in the damage bump.RELATED: Resident Evil Village: Every Item Necessary For Crafting & Where They Can Be Found Additionally, Duke has a few upgrades for the gun that will increase its damage, reload speed, and rate of fire. Keep in mind, you cannot craft magnum ammo, so you are solely reliant on what you discover in the world. Either use the magnum or explosive rounds to take it down. If you are itching to try it, there’s a large black wolf stalking the area outside the houses. With that being said, ammo is scarce, so I recommend holding onto it for bosses only. This Magnum deals 1,700 damage per shot, making it the best single-target weapon in Resident Evil Village. After it’s dead, open up the chest to earn the M1851 Wolfsbane. Inside will be a werewolf that you’ll need to kill. The door will be locked, so equip your shotgun and crawl through the broken portion of the wall at the back of the house. After you have the ball, go up the hill, fighting through the scattered enemies until you reach the building at the very top (marked above with a red X). This is used for the Labyrinth puzzle right next to the windmill so you can earn the Chartreuse Crystal Skull. However, if you have an abundance of handgun ammo that can work too.Īdditionally, you will find a lightbox along a cliff that contains the Mermaid Ball. ![]() I recommend using the sniper rifle for the flying creatures and a shotgun for the zombies. Be prepared to fight off both zombies and flying monsters, as there are a decent number of foes hanging around this area. This will unlock a path to a small area filled with enemies. However, before you leave the area take a right and use the Crank to open the Mechanical Door to your right. ![]() Once the fish is vanquished, make your way back out through the windmill. How to Get the Magnumĭespite finding ammo for it during your exploration of the reservoir, you actually won’t find the Wolfbane until after you’ve defeated the boss. This is the highest damaging weapon in the entire game, which makes it critical to nab after you beat Moreau. There are a number of weapons that Ethan will come across during his journey, one of which is the M1851 Wolfsbane, better known as the magnum. Pulling inspiration from previous entries, Resident Evil Village mixes both horror and action. Throughout your journey, Ethan will encounter all sorts of horrific monsters, eccentric characters, puzzles, and familiar faces. Continuing the story of Ethan Winters following the events of Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village sees our titular hero venture into a mysterious eastern European town to save his kidnapped baby. ![]() The next horrifying installment of the Resident Evil series has finally arrived.
